This morning, April 19, 2025, Sotaville Joint Stock Company was honored to accompany the program of Meeting and Professional Workshop on Occupational Safety and Health.

1. Responding to World Day for Safety and Health at Work

April 28th is chosen as World Day for Safety and Health at Work , initiated by the International Labor Organization (ILO) since 2003. This is an opportunity for governments, organizations and businesses around the world to raise awareness of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) , towards a safe, healthy and sustainable working environment for workers.

In response to this meaningful day, the Hai Phong Occupational Safety and Health Association under the Vietnam Occupational Safety and Health Science and Technology Association organized the program “Meeting and Professional Workshop on Occupational Safety and Health” with the coordination of many local units. Sotaville Joint Stock Company was honored to be one of the enterprises participating in this event.

2. Professional workshop – A bridge between businesses and experts and management agencies

The event was held in a cozy, open space in the form of a workshop in Hai Phong City. The program gathered the presence of guests who are leaders of state management agencies and leading experts in the industry:

• Mr. Nguyen Huu Cuong – Head of Labor – Employment Department, Hai Phong Department of Home Affairs

• Mr. Nguyen Khanh Long – Deputy Director of the Department of Employment – Ministry of Home Affairs

• Prof. Dr. Le Van Trinh – President of Vietnam Association for Science and Technology on Occupational Safety and Health

In addition to the welcoming speech from the representative of the Hai Phong Occupational Safety and Health Association, the delegates shared in-depth and practical information about the occupational safety and health situation, new orientations, as well as practical solutions for businesses in the current period.

3. Highlights of the workshop

Occupational safety and health situation in Hai Phong

At the beginning of the sharing session, Mr. Nguyen Huu Cuong provided an overview of occupational safety and health work in Hai Phong city. Practical figures and typical stories show that the city is making great efforts in building a safe working environment.

New direction: Lean but effective

Representative from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Mr. Nguyen Khanh Long , brought a strategic perspective on enhancing OSH in the context of streamlining the state apparatus . In which, the role of enterprises is increasingly emphasized. Proactively accessing information, implementing internal policies and raising awareness of safe work in each department are key factors in creating an effective and sustainable working environment.

Occupational Safety and Health 4.0 – Revolution in risk control

A special highlight of the workshop was the sharing of Prof. Dr. Le Van Trinh – a person with many years of experience in researching and implementing occupational safety and health policies. He introduced the concept of “Occupational Safety and Health 4.0” , emphasizing the role of technology in monitoring, warning and assessing the level of safety at the workplace. Safety management software application solutions, etc. are gradually becoming effective tools.
